Day 1:

Had the pleasure of visiting two very talented and fresh young designers!  Ironically, both designers are from Detroit, Michigan (woo Detroit love).

Vincetta Showroom:

I was extremely impressed with Deanna Ansara Fall/Winter 2015 collection. She truly upped her game with the fall collection. Using 70s inspired vintage inspiration, think Patti Smith and ladies of power in the 70s.  of course real leather (from full leather skirts, leather mini skirts and leather accents) beautiful faux fur, some pieces are oversized sweaters and powerful jumpsuits. I noticed the details in the seam stitching and clean lines.

Deanna and her team styled me for a few shows I attended. Wearing the Vincetta Pippa mustard leather mini skirt, white/cream Snap Back pleated sweater. Jacket – from El Dorado General Store. Shoes – Zadig&Voltaire.image3

Styleshack stylenotes – boyfriend inspired, love the high rise trousers and my personal favorite the beautiful jumpsuits- real power jumpsuits! See a few of my favorite looks below!

Designer, ANN YEE.

Another visit with cool and emerging designer Ann Yee at her awesome showroom (Crescala). I spent time with Ann (another Michigan native) as she walked me through her collection and expressed her excitement for FW15 truly being focused and consistent in making the most beautiful yet wearable knits. I enjoyed my time with Ann and picked out a few favorite pieces of her fall collection below.

Inspiration: For Autumn/Winter 2015, Ann Yee has designed a collection of core pieces that really exemplify her brand's DNA: beautiful and interesting knitwear executed with an emphasis on geometry and clean lines. The spirit of the season revolves around comfort and warmth while staying true to the meticulous design and distinct details that give each piece its signature ANN YEE look.

A mix of textures, including novelty jacquards and stitches, lofty textiles, and mixed media, juxtaposed with a subtle, yet rich color palette of heather grey, charcoal, aubergine, and teal, create a collection that is at once visually stunning and supremely wearable.
