Award season is here… and we know, it’s always about the glitz, the glam, and the fashion when it comes to award season. From questions like, “who are you wearing?” to “how long did it take you to get ready?”, it’s obvious we care just as much about the who's wearing what as we do about the movie titles up for awards.

The Golden Globes took place this past Sunday and filled our TV screens with beautiful celebrities in designer gowns escorted by perfectly groomed men in tailored tuxes. Power couples such as Matthew McConaughey with Camila Alves and Adam Levine with Behati Prinsloo stepped onto the carpet looking equally as dapper as their S.O. (significant other)

Many trends were spotted on the red carpet, here are a few that caught our eyes:

  • clean white dresses

  • white and silver embellished dresses

  • and of course the classic red dresses.

  • We also noticed, sequin

  • and super super low cut necklines.

Kate Hudson was one to wear, and did it well in a edgy and very sexy Versace white gown with crystals lining her ribcage.

After Lupita Nyong'o amazing fashion last award season, we were excited to see what she would wear. She did not disapoint on Sunday with a gorgeous purple detailed gown by Giambattista Valli and Chopard.

Other celebrities such as Greer Grammer and Anna Kendrick rocked similar feminine gowns that were empire waisted and decked out in details.

The past few years gold had been trending on the red carpet, but it seems as though silver may be the new prime metallic color, as seen by Dakota Johnson's gown shimmered fifty different shades of grey.
