Traipsing along a beautiful beachy cliff in a beautiful white maxi dress while the sun is shining is exactly what I'm doing right now…in my dreams. Alas, I'm stuck in a winter wonderland for the foreseeable future. But that doesn't mean I can't work some of resorts hottest trends into my wardrobe, long before summer arrives. Take a look at how I will be incorporating a few of my favorite pieces from our 2016 Resort Picks, into my winter wear.
I love winter white. I've never lived by the no white after Labor day rule. On vacation, the flowy white top with shorts and sandals is perfect for site-seeing or going to lunch. Back at home, throw on a sweater and some furry boots and you're set to brave the cold. The reversible silver tote and shades work well no matter what the weather.

I pinned this inspiration photo a few years ago and I'm still OBSESSED. I love the juxtaposition of dainty white lace with the edgier black opaque tights, leather jacket and boots. This could even work well with a black sweater or black blazer. On vacation, this easy lace cotton dress is can be dressed up with a pretty floral scarf, black crossbody purse and black flats for dinner on the town.
