#ShopLocalDetroit: John Varvatos Store Opens at 1500 Woodward Ave
The John Varvatos Grand Opening party was a night to remember! April 16th, 2015 was an epic night in the heart of downtown Detroit. It was a night themed around Rock N Roll, Fashion and the official "welcome home event" for John Varvatos and party for the Detroit and metro-Detroit community in honor of the Detroit store opening! 
Chrysler, Bedrock Real Estate and the John Varvatos teamed up for a special VIP event to celebrate the Varvatos Detroit store opening. The event took place at the John Varvatos Detroit store (1500 Woodward Avenue). Detroit "rock legend," Alice Cooper, jammed through a 14 song performance for the well attended crowd (600 people). Since the Varvatos brand is all about rock n roll music, it made sense to have one of Detroit's very own, Alice Cooper, performing on the stage built for the 4,000 sq foot retail store. 
Additional Notes: the "Black Carpet" rolled out with 40 foot back drops, which was quite the scene as half of Woodward was shut down for the event. Notable guests who walked the "Black Carpet" (to name a few) were Dan Gilbert and wife Jennifer, Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander; girlfriend and Sports Illustrated favorite model Kate Upton; Lions tight end Eric Ebron; former University of Michigan star quarterback Devin Gardner; HGTV star and "Rehab Addict" host Nicole Curtis; and singer Michael Bolton.
The energy of the night was infused with pure excitement and total rock concert vibes. 
We hope there are future plans to incorporate more live rock concerts in the 1500 Woodward, Detroit store space.
