Last weekend, our street style contributor Amanda Schmerin took over our Instagram account {@styleshack} for her weekend adventure at Lollapalooza. While in Chicago, she had a personal styling appointment with Katherine Kucharski at Beyond Boutique {one of our Chicago boutiques}! We were so impressed with Amanda's fashion eye and "insta" personality we think she is Styleshack "Style Spotlight" worthy! Read below on Amanda's job, her fashion icons, favorite restaurant and more! At the end of her spotlight interview, Amanda shares more pictures she captured during her fun festival weekend at Lollapalooza.
{SS} What is your current job, how did you get to where you are today?
{Amanda} I work as an assistant at Hotline Showroom – a wholesale multi-line showroom in New York City. I knew I wanted to be in New York and start a career involving fashion and thought this was a great opportunity to get my foot in the door.
{SS} What is your favorite part about living in NYC?
{Amanda} The nightlife, the restaurants, and being around so many people all the time.
{SS} What are your future goals for your career and yourself? Big plans ahead?{
Amanda} I'd like to eventually get into digital/social media for my career, and for myself I just want to be happy and love what I do/ who I'm with.
{SS} In regards to your personal style, do you have a signature accessory?{
Amanda} Stacked bangles and bracelets, red lipstick, and booties.
