{SS} What inspired you to open Sloane Street Style?{Katherine} I have been dreaming about opening my own store for years and recently due to my husband's encouragement I had the idea to start with a fashion truck.
{SS} Favorite part of your job?
{Katherine} I love finding new artists and designers and talking to them about what inspires them. It's better than window shopping!
{SS} Why a fashion truck, tell us more!{Katherine} A store on wheels! How much more can you say? It's a great way to start a business and test what people like in different markets. Also, it's just fun! Your whole store can go wherever you go. {SS} Any new items in the store that you are loving for SUMMER?{Katherine} Saako headbands and bracelets. I'm obsessed with the headbands right now, a fun way to tie your hair back on these hot summer days. But as I type all I can think of is the new KLD anchor shirts that I just can't stop wearing, and then my mind goes to the new leather wrap bracelets that go with everything.
{SS} A few items in your own "Styleshack" (aka) closet that you can't live without?{Katherine} So far every shirt I have from KLD is something I cannot live without. Slouchy, comfortable shirts that can be dressed up for evening wear and dressed down for casual day time.{SS} Who or What inspires your personal style? Favorite Style Icon?{Katherine} I am inspired by people who are comfortable in their own skin and in their own choices.
{SS} Favorite local restaurant?{Katherine} Ronin is my favorite place to relax and have a drink and some great food.
{SS} What is your Style Archetype?{Katherine} Eco Chic, which isn't surprising considering my whole store is American Made or responsibly sourced.
{SS} Words to live by?{Katherine} Function in chaos and finish in style.
