Friday night one of the ending events of the day at Tech-week Detroit was the Fashion Tech Runway Show at One Woodward Avenue. The show combined the best elements of fashion and technology for an incredible show for the attendees. Models strutted the runway wearing apparel from online retailers and local boutiques.
I attended the event to end Styleshack's participation in Techweek, and arrived to the venue a tad bit early and was able to sit in and watch the last run-through before opening the doors. It was awesome to sit in and watch the workers finalize details of the event prior to it starting since I minored in Event Management.
The event had a full waitstaff, multiple bars and snacks for guest's to enjoy. The room had multiple couches, chairs, and cocktail tables for guests to eat at and provided a networking atmosphere. The doors to the event opened at 5:30pm and the Runway show presentation began at 7:00pm. The event concluded at 8:00pm and was followed by The Private Party for Black Pass holders that had a private unknown location. It was like out of a Gossip Girl episode, the exclusivity and glamorous night of events.The show featured both female and male models with a multitude of different looks that can be seen in the pictures below that were taken off the sponsored Samsung Galaxy Note Pro from Verizon Midwest. The apparel sponsors of the show included Anne Fotaine, Emporio Armani, Gucci, Hugo Boss, Intermix, L.K. Bennet, MaxMara, Neiman Marcus and The Somerset Collection.
The Fashion Tech Runway Show was a great event to attend and I hope to see it only grow next year for the second year of Techweek Detroit.Style It Up,
