Ella Designs: Designer is a on a mission to raise money and awareness for bipolior research one necklace at a time!

One of our Styleshack featured Designers has an amazing mission behind her company. Ella Designs is raising money and awareness for bi-poloar research.

Below, she gives an update on how the company did over the past year – Also, she shares how much money was raised.  We encourage you to read this piece and pass along her powerful message.

In three years ELLA Designs has donated $102,000 to the Prechter Bipolar Research Fund.  We will continue to give 50% of all profits to this important cause. (Do you still have the end of the year email I sent about the year end contribution and the research that is being conducted?  I can resend it if you want.)

I am also hoping to expand my sales opportunities by exploring new venues.  I have had a lot of success doing seasonal shows and especially open houses in peoples homes and offices.  Open houses are a great way for people to introduce their friends to the jewelry and most important to help support this amazing research which is being done at the University of Michigan by the Heinz Prechter Bipolar Research Fund.  The open houses are very easy to host.  I provide a flyer with all the information which can be emailed out to to everyone the host wants to invite and then set everything up in their home or office.  The host also receives 15% of the sales in retail jewelry, so it's a win/win. This year I traveled to Chicago and Cleveland with ELLA Designs and am looking forward to returning and adding more cities.

{Liz Guz, Designer and founder of Ella Designs} "I am always creating new styles and this past year, I added earrings and leather bracelets to the line."  I am planning on adding more new things this year.

I was awarded the "Woman of Vision" Award by the National Council of Jewish Women this past September
