The Styleshack Team is thrilled to take part in the upcoming Veronica Beard Spring & Fall 2015 collection event at SHE Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the non-profit organization, Humble Design. Our team is passionate about "shopping for a cause" and happy to know the Veronica Beard brand is on board too.

We thought it was time to share more about the Veronica Beard brand and get to know the Designers & Co-Founders, Lady Bosses and Sister-in-Laws; Veronica Miele Beard {VMB} & Veronica Swanson Beard {VSB}. 
{SS}: How the company was established?
JOINT: We are sisters-in-law who are married to brothers. We left our respective 
career paths, in finance and fashion, to raise our kids but we found ourselves constantly talking about a void in the market for must-have cool, classic clothing you could live in, and we kept coming back to the concept of the uniform.
We wanted chic and tailored layering pieces for women but without the bulk, which led us to the Dickey Jacket, the first piece of the uniform. We loved the idea of 
having the flexibility to personalize your look by changing the dickey to suit your individual style.
**(The Veronicas now have 8 kids between the two of them.) #PowerWomen!
{SS}: Inspiration behind the current collection?
JOINT: Spring 2015 is all about the 1960’s Hollywood Joie de Vivre. The decadent pool parties and the glamorous women.
{SS}: Can you each share one of your favorite pieces ever designed? VMB: The Strapless Scuba Jumpsuit.
VSB: The VB Dickey Jacket. It was our first piece and continues to be out best seller.
{SS}: Who is the lady wearing your collection?
JOINT: We believe our greatest advantage is the fact that we know our customer so well. We always say ‘we are our customer’ because we walk in her shoes every day. She does it all and needs a uniform that allows her to do so and look good doing it. We strive to design modern pieces that help our customer identify her own style and that ride the line between classic and cool. We are confident that she can rely on us for these iconic pieces that become indispensable to her and make up her uniform.
{SS}: Which pieces from your collection, are YOUR (personal) absolute favorite?
VMB: The Classic or Schoolboy with the Camo Hoodie. It goes with everything!
VSB: VB Long and Lean Navy Dickey Jacket with Leather Moto Dickey and the Navy Classic with Denim Moto Dickey.
