On Sunday, March 29th Styleshack hosted the first ever #StyleChops Styling competition.The styling event took place at Guys N Gals in West Bloomfield, Michigan. Founder of Styleshack, Rachel Schostak along with co-host Bruna Camargo {the style-mile} and owner of GuysNGals, Julie Feldman, asked a few local fashion bloggers to compete in a fashionable friendly styling competition.

Bloggers await… as they hear the first theme!
So, how did the styling competition work? Based loosely on the popular Food Network TV Show, "Chopped", we gave 8 Fashion Bloggers one full mannequin along with a half small upper body mannequin to style based on the Styleshack Archetypes. The Fashion Bloggers were given 3 different "style archetype" themes. They had 30 minutes to dress their mannequins in a complete & cohesive look representing the style theme using all merchandise from Guys N Gals. The themes were given to them on the spot.
First theme: Boho Chic. Then, Romantic Chic and last, Sporty Chic.
Keep in mind, some of these Fashion Bloggers had never stepped foot in GuysNGals….
After 30 minutes, for each look – the judges (Rachel Schostak, Bruna Camargo and Julie Feldman) gave each blogger a score.At the end of the competition the Fashion Blogger with the highest accumulative score won. Winnings: Gift card to Guys N Gals and the opportunity to merchandise the Guys N Gals front window display with their Blog information listed. (Major exposure for the winner) and a few additional press perks!
