The 2015 North American International Auto Show Charity Preview was a fun-filled night of glitz and giving back. The gala, also known as “Car Prom” is a black-tie event where attendees rock their best threads.
I was excited to be representing Styleshack at the illustrious event. When searching for my ensemble, I knew that I wanted to shop local and support the amazing stores in Detroit. I was eager to check out a new boutique that opened in Royal Oak called Coco Kouture. Owner Klaudia Baayoun’s great eye for style is apparent in her well-curated selection.
I was instantly drawn to a beautiful black dress by Lebanese fashion designer, Nidal Zihar. With the intricate lace detailing mixed with sheer panels and a sweeping train, I knew the dress would be perfect for the event.
I then visited Marlee’s by Tapper’s in Twelve Oaks Mall to find jewelry to complement my dress.
I felt like a kid in a candy store as I perused the wide array of alluring accessories.
I opted for an opulent KMO Paris bracelet with the complementary earrings, and a stunning limited Marlee’s Elements Collection ring. They were just the right finishing touches to go with my dress.
Katrina Malota of Luigi Bruni salon in Birmingham did my hair and makeup. I went for a side-swept hairstyle and bronzy eyes with a bold lip. I rocked a fashion-forward pointy manicure in a rich bordeaux hue.
I couldn’t forget my favorite accessory, my fiancé, Jason.
Jason rocked an automotive leather necktie by Cyberoptix. The laser-cut tie was handmade in Detroit, and sourced from the off-cuts of Mercedes Benz AMG seating.
