{SS} In regards to your personal style, do you have a signature look or accessory?
{JSF} My signature look usually includes a pair of great jeans! I love blanknyc, rag and bone, JBrand and Frame denim! Also, if there is a girl out there who DOES NOT own an item from Feel the Piece (available locally at Guys and Gals), I am strongly suggesting a shopping spree! Not only do they come in a variety of colors and styles, but they are so comfortable and can be dressed up (with leather leggings and a knee-high boot) or down (with ripped denim and a bootie)
Additionally, I love a great pump; I love that the less ‘clunky’ more lady-like shoe silhouettes are returning! I wouldn’t be able to live without a great pair of nude and/or black pumps (with at least a 4 ½ inch heel) in my closet! Finally, no look (of mine) could be complete without a unique statement necklace, earrings or a colorful bag! Overall, I love embracing basic pieces, knowing that any outfit can be made unique with unusual fashion touches and enhancements.
{SS} Has your style changed while being pregnant? If so, what are some tips in terms of comfort and style:
{JSF} Contrary to the belief, for the most part, my pregnancy style has been fun to explore! While, at times, it may not be the ‘most fun’ getting dressed (especially when crop tops are back in fashion), I’ve learned to really embrace my bump! I made sure to invest in a few pairs of designer maternity jeans (light and dark washes) and white/cream colors as well. Also, a pair of maternity leather leggings was a SERIOUS must, for me! In addition, I LOVE dresses, especially while being pregnant!
My favorites happen to be the cotton mini dresses by Velvet by Graham and Spencer. They are not only comfortable, but, given the gathered sides, they allow for a “bumpin’” profile! Waterfall cardigans and blazers (printed and solid) remain a main staple for me! Plus, it has been fun to explore some new fashion trends, including track pants, while being pregnant. They look super cute under my ‘bump’ with a tight tank (personally I love the Splits59 tanks because they don’t stretch out and layer well!).
What have I come to learn about fashion while being pregnant? No matter your mood, bags, shoes and JEWELS always fit!
{SS} A few items in your "Styleshack" A.K.A closet that you can't live without?
{JSF} I cannot live without:
Skinny denim (colored, ripped, vintage wash, white, cream…doesn’t matter!), a black blazer (I’ve had a theory blazer for years that I’ll never retire), Feel the Piece tops (my personal favorite is the Chloe cut, which is now discontinued!!!), leather leggings, solid/printed camisoles, a great V-neck T-shirt (the Leith shirts at Nordstrom are amazing!!!) nude/black pumps and my rag and bone booties!
{SS} Who or What inspires your style? Favorite Style Icon?
{JSF} I am a fashion magazine junkie! Pre-pregnancy, my style icons were mainly Olivia Palermo and Kourtney Kardashian. I love how they each take fashion risks, mix and match patterns and textures and I admire how they are able to incorporate both expensive and inexpensive fashion items in their wardrobes. While being pregnant, I really look to Kristin Cavallari as a fashion icon. Her style isn’t outrageous (sorry Kim Kardashian) and she always looks comfortable, even if she is dressed up for an event!
{SS} What is your style archetype?
{JSF} My style archetype is: Edgy. Though I love edgy fashion, I also consider myself classic, as I am drawn to sophisticated and timeless pieces that never get old.
Any ripped denim choice (Hudson, Frame, Jbrand), Vegan leather and sheer beaded tank tops (great under a classic black blazer), solid blouses (love equipment), full skirts and jumpsuits! I am loving ALL of the statement necklaces! They are so great with a plain white T-Shirt, tight jeans and pumps or a bootie!{SS} Favorite fashion or lifestyle blog?{JSF} Currently, I love:http://www.damselindior.com and http://www.atlantic-pacific.blogspot.com. {SS} Favorite "local" boutiques and what they're selling?
{JSF} My FAVORITE local boutique, where I’ve been shopping since I’ve been 8 years old is, and ALWAYS will be, Guys and Gals! Other local boutiques that I love include: Zieben Mare, Hersh’s and Caruso Caruso. At Zieben Mare, I could buy every candle and Roni Arabella pillow! Their purses, shoes and tops are “to die for” as well! Hersh’s has amazing 360 and Autumn Cashmere sweaters, perfect for the weather now! Caruso has great spring pieces! Cut off denim, floral and printed tops, and maxi dresses!

{JSF}: Currently (though I may be pregnant and cannot wear EVERYTHING these fashionable ladies display) I am loving:

{JSF} I love using Instagram. I think it is so great to be able to follow people with great fashion intuition and style! The pictures allow you to copy looks with items that you probably already own! Additionally, I cannot lie, I love going on pinterest. You can literally find ANYTHING; seeing how other people put outfits together always inspires me!
{SS} What would tell your 22 year old self?
{JSF} Wow! I would tell my 22 year old self to wear sunscreen, sweat at least once a day, smile often, get your hair blown out, listen to your mother and fall in love!
