Autumn is my favorite seasonal time of the year for copious reasons – watching the leaves transition into stunning shades of golden sunset, the crisp smell of fresh air, brisk dewy mornings and all things associated with pumpkin and spice. The only dilemma, during the fall phase, is figuring out what to wear during this transitional season. In a way, I feel like Goldilocks trying to find the perfect fit for comfort – something that's not "too hot" (a wool pea coat) and not "too cold" (a short-sleeve shirt). So what is "just right?"

An oversized cardigan is "just right" for a temperamental weather transition. It's perfect to keep you warm when the temperature drops just a few degrees but not too bulky, or heavy, to make you sweat. Plus it's just so darn cozy and comfy, how can one resist on a slightly, shivery day?

Its versatility makes it ideal for the workplace, daytime outing or an evening affair. An oversized cardigan can take the place of a blazer – paired smartly with sleek trousers and/or a pencil skirt. For crisper days and chilly nights, wear it as a finishing piece with your favorite pair of jeans and/or black leggings – add a statement necklace and a eye-catching clutch for a dressier look.
